HEYA FAWDA
Synopsis
In a working-class Cairo neighbourhood, a corrupt police officer's grip on the street becomes the parable of a country reaching its breaking point.
Co-directed with the late Youssef Chahine, Heya Fawda arrived four years before the Revolution and was, in retrospect, its most precise rehearsal. It remains the studio’s most internationally screened film.
